Meet the Authors
Mehrshad Fahim Devin
Mehrshad Devin holds an MPS in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is currently a second-year medical student at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The idea for Diagnosis Diaries was born during one of his guest lectures, where he learned that parents of children with pediatric illnesses often struggle to help their children understand their conditions. Their stories inspired him to create a resource that simplifies medical concepts for young children, combining his medical knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to make a positive impact.


Kristine Antanesian
Kristine graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in 2022 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a B.A. in Psychology. During her gap year, she worked as a medical scribe at an ophthalmology practice, where she developed a strong interest in the field. In 2023, she matriculated at Penn State College of Medicine as a member of the Class of 2027. Since then, her passion for ophthalmology has continued to grow, enriched by clinical experiences and active involvement in ophthalmology-focused research projects.
Stephen Kalina
Stephen is currently a third-year medical student at the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. Prior to medical school, he earned a Master of Divinity degree and has a particular interest in the intersection of medicine and faith. A lifelong baseball fan, Stephen loves both playing the game and cheering from the stands. When not studying, he can usually be found reading, exploring new running trails, or playing the piano. Stephen is passionate about inspiring curiosity through stories, and believes that books can spark imagination, encourage learning, and bring joy to kids everywhere.
