Our Books
At Diagnosis Diaries, our book series is designed to help children aged 3-8 understand common pediatric illnesses through simple language, engaging illustrations, and captivating stories. Each book breaks down complex medical conditions into terms that young children can easily grasp. Our stories feature relatable characters and scenarios, making it easier for children to relate to their own experiences. By educating children in a fun and accessible way, our books aim to alleviate the fears and uncertainties surrounding their health conditions. All proceeds from our book sales are donated to foundations supporting pediatric illnesses, furthering our mission to promote child health and well-being.
Meet Our Founder
Mehrshad Devin holds an MPS in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is currently a second-year medical student at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. The idea for Diagnosis Diaries was born during one of his guest lectures, where he learned that parents of children with pediatric illnesses often struggle to help their children understand their conditions. Their stories inspired him to create a resource that simplifies medical concepts for young children, combining his medical knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit to make a positive impact.
Our Impact & Outreach
At Diagnosis Diaries, our commitment extends beyond education. We believe in giving back to the community and making a tangible difference in the lives of children. All profits from our book sales and merchandise are donated to foundations that support pediatric illnesses. Through these contributions, we help fund research, treatment, and support services for children and their families. Our outreach initiatives also include collaborating with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to spread awareness and provide resources. Together, we are making a positive impact on children’s health and well-being.
